How do I know when my Butter Bot's battery is running low?

Any standard USB-C charger tops up Butter Bot. The controller's batteries aren't rechargeable, but it runs from the same USB-C cable.

How do I charge Butter Bot and the controller?

No. Butter Bot stays put while it's charging — it won't move or wander off the table with a cable attached.

Battery and charging

Six snap-on modules: lights, a motion sensor, air quality, temperature and humidity, an infrared blaster for your TV, and a blank perf board.

Expansion modules

Nothing's wrong. The MQ-135 sensor needs 5–10 minutes to warm up the first time you use it, and Butter Bot will tell you while it's calibrating.

My Butter Bot's gas sensor doesn't seem to react at first — is something wrong?
