Butter Bot has a module slot, and this is where it picks up new tricks. Click a module in and it announces the upgrade, then behaves accordingly.
LED module
Six bright LEDs. Tell it to turn the light on, make it strobe or breathe, and speed it up or slow it down.
Motion sensor (PIR)
Turns Butter Bot into a tiny sentry. Say "Activate intruder detection" and it watches the room, calling out anything that moves.
Air quality (Gas)
Ask for an "Air quality report". The first time you plug this module in, give it 5–10 minutes to warm up before relying on the readings.
Climate (Temp / Humidity)
Ask "What's the temperature?" and switch between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin if you're feeling scientific.
Infrared (IR)
The really fun one. Teach Butter Bot your remote: it learns a button, you give it a phrase, and now it runs your TV. Aim the remote at it and press the button you want it to remember. After that, just say the magic word.
Perf board
Does absolutely nothing, and is refreshingly honest about it. If you're skilled enough, solder something onto it and program what the Butter Bot should do.
