Something is missing from my box

A part missing from the box is replaced free of charge. What to check first, and what to send us so we can post it.

If a part is missing from your box we post the replacement free of charge. A component missing from the box is our packing error, so there is nothing for you to pay and nothing to return.

Two things are worth checking first, because they settle most cases in a minute:

  • Small parts often travel bagged separately or tucked under a tray. The component list in your build guide, at circuitmess.com/blogs/resources, shows exactly what should be in the box.

  • Orders can ship in more than one parcel, each with its own tracking and at no extra cost to you. If an item from a bundle is not there, check your emails for a second tracking number — see Why did my order arrive in more than one parcel?

If something really is missing, email [email protected] with:

  • Your order number

  • The name of the missing part, from the build guide if you can identify it

  • A photo of everything that came in the box

The photo lets us identify the part and post it without a second round of questions, so please include it if you can.

This covers parts that never arrived. A part that did arrive but is faulty, or that broke during the build, is handled under our warranty instead: a genuinely defective part is replaced free, and a part broken in use or assembly can still be replaced but is charged, with the price always quoted to you first. See Do your kits have a warranty?
