The Artemis Watch 2.0 arrives fully assembled and works as a watch straight away — coding it is the optional second half, and you can start whenever you like.
Start with CircuitBlocks at code.circuitmess.com. It runs in a desktop browser — Chrome, Edge or Opera; Safari and Firefox cannot connect to the hardware, and there is no phone or tablet route: coding the watch needs a desktop or laptop computer. You build programs from drag-and-drop blocks while it writes real MicroPython underneath, and the beginner-friendly coding guide at circuitmess.com/blogs/resources gives you a first project: your own watch faces, animations and simple apps.
Three things worth knowing
Programs run from memory and clear on reset. Your sketch stays saved in your CircuitBlocks account; press Run again after a power cycle. See Why doesn’t the program I wrote in CircuitBlocks stay on the device after a reset?.
You can always go back. Restore firmware in CircuitBlocks returns the watch to exactly how it shipped. If a program ever locks the watch up, My Artemis Watch 2.0 froze or shows a white screen after coding walks through the recovery.
