The Nevera build uses more than one kind of screw, and putting a long screw in a short hole is one of the easiest ways to crack a casing — so two minutes of sorting saves an evening of regret.
Start from the components list in the build guide at circuitmess.com/blogs/resources. It shows each screw type next to its name.
Sort the screws before you start. Tip them out onto the work mat, group them by length and head, and count each group against the list. If a group is short, check the bags and box corners — small parts often travel bagged separately. And before counting a group as missing, one thing to know: the booklet shows two steps whose screws were removed from the design — see The Nevera booklet asks for screws that are not in any bag.
Match by length against the photo whenever a step feels ambiguous. If a screw feels too long or will not seat flush, stop — that is the wrong screw, not a tight hole.
