The ByteBoi 2.0 case screws thread directly into the acrylic — there are no metal threads waiting for them — so the first time in, each screw has to cut its own path.
Go slowly and press gently. Let the screw bite and cut; two or three slow turns do more than fast ones.
Keep the screw square to the hole. A screw driven in at an angle will refuse to bite and can widen the hole.
Stop at snug. Acrylic cracks if you keep turning after resistance — the case only needs the screws firm, not tight.
Check you are using the screws from the ByteBoi box against the parts list in the build guide at circuitmess.com/blogs/resources, not screws from another kit.
