Spare parts and single Chatter units are not sold in the shop, so replacements are handled by email rather than through the checkout. Message us here, or email [email protected], and we will arrange the part for you directly.
Chatter 2.0 is built as a pair and one kit makes both communicators, so a damaged unit does not mean buying the kit again. Tell us which of the two is affected and we will work out which part you need.
The kit is made up of a main circuit board, an acrylic casing, a battery holder, a battery cover, button caps, metal bolts and a plastic on-off cap. A clear photo of the damage is the quickest way for us to identify the right replacement. For the screen, the replacement is usually the whole board or unit rather than a loose display, because the screen and its ribbon are fitted at manufacture — so do not be surprised if that is what we offer.
If a control such as the on-off cap has stopped working, send us a photo of it before you take anything apart, and we will tell you what to check.

What happened
Whether you pay for the part depends on what happened:
Missing from the box: free, as that is our packing error.
Genuinely defective: free under the 24-month parts warranty.
Broken in use or during the build: charged, and we always quote the price first, so nothing is charged without your agreement.
Before ordering a replacement screen, it is worth the checks in My Chatter 2.0 screen is blank, upside down or distorted — a share of flipped and blank screens come back to life after a full charge and a firmware restore.
