Protective Goggles FAQ

Are the goggles adjustable? Will they fit different head sizes (kids and adults)?

Yes, our Protective Goggles are adjustable and will fit all head sizes.

What protection do these goggles give?

They are designed to shield your eyes from solder splashes and from component legs flying off when you trim them, which is what actually goes wrong on a build. We do not publish a safety-standard rating for them, so if you need eye protection certified to a specific standard — EN 166 in the EU or ANSI Z87.1 in the US, which some schools and workplaces require — use goggles carrying that mark.

When should I wear these goggles while building CircuitMess kits?

You should wear Protective Goggles whenever soldering. Check out our build guides for more information.
