Yes. Each Chatter kit comes as a pair, but you are not limited to messaging only the device that came in your box.
Every Chatter has a built-in contact book, so you can add other Chatter devices and message them directly. If you have several units, they can all reach one another rather than working only in fixed pairs.
Chatter 2.0 uses LoRa radio and reaches up to about 2 km (1.2 miles) when the two devices have a clear, unobstructed line of sight. In built-up areas, walls and buildings typically reduce that to a few hundred metres. Your messages stay encrypted, and no Wi-Fi or mobile network is required.
