The gap is a difference in how tax is displayed, not a different base price. EU rules require a price shown to a consumer in the EU to include VAT, so our EUR listings are the all-in figure you pay. USD listings are shown before local sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies.
VAT is set by the country the order is delivered to and varies across Europe, so two EU customers can see slightly different totals for the same kit. We collect it at checkout and pay it to the tax authority in that country.
Currency is the smaller part of it. The EUR and USD prices are set as separate price lists rather than converted at the day's exchange rate, so the two figures will not line up to the cent even before tax.
Your order confirmation and invoice show the tax charged as a separate line, so you can see exactly what went to tax on your order. If that figure does not look right for your country, message us here, or email [email protected], with your order number and we will check it and put it right if it is wrong.
