Most of our customers pay nothing extra.
We ship from several regional warehouses rather than one central location, and your order goes out from whichever is closest to you. For most destinations that means your parcel arrives as a local or regional delivery, with no import duty to pay.
If you are in the EU and your order shipped from our EU warehouse, there is nothing to pay on arrival. The goods are already in free circulation, so there is no import duty and no import VAT. Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland sit outside the EU customs and VAT area, so a parcel arriving there is an import and local charges can apply. The same holds for a UK address served from our UK warehouse, a US address from our US warehouse, and so on for each of our seven regional warehouses.
If a courier asks you for money before they will deliver. Do not pay it, and do not ignore it. Send us the demand — a screenshot or a forwarded message is ideal — with your order number and tracking number, and we will check what your parcel was actually declared at and whether the charge is real. Couriers do sometimes raise a charge in error, and fake "delivery fee" messages quoting a real tracking number are common.
If your country isn’t served by one of our warehouses, your own customs authority may charge import duty or tax when the parcel arrives. Those charges are set by your government rather than by us, which is why we can’t quote them in advance, prepay them or refund them, and why they are billed to the recipient.
If you’d like to know where you stand before ordering, your national customs office is the reliable source. Most publish their rates, and many have an online estimator.

On shipping cost itself: shipping is free on orders over EUR 96 in the EU and over USD 99 outside the EU. Below those thresholds the cost depends on your country and the delivery option you choose, and it’s worked out at checkout before you pay.
