My subscription status says it’s on hold, but I paid for all the boxes upfront. What should I do?

A prepaid subscription showing as on hold is unsettling, and it does not mean the boxes you have already paid for have gone anywhere. Email [email protected] and we will check the subscription against the payment on record and tell you what is still outstanding. Use the same address if boxes you paid for have not arrived.

So we can find it on the first try, please include:

  • Your first and last name

  • Your subscription order number

  • The email address you used to subscribe

  • Which boxes you have received so far, if any

On hold usually reflects the billing side of a subscription rather than the boxes themselves, for example a later renewal charge that did not go through, a card that expired, or a plan that was paused at some point. Under our Subscription Policy, boxes you have already paid for are dispatched as normal unless you ask us to stop them, and anything paid for but not yet shipped can be refunded where your consumer rights or our refund policy allow.

The STEM Box subscription has been discontinued and new sign-ups are closed. Existing subscriptions have since been wound down: rather than continuing month by month, the boxes still owed were consolidated and sent as one final delivery. That does not change anything you have already paid for — If a box you paid for has not reached you, message us here, or email [email protected], with your order number and we will check what went out.
