New STEM Box subscriptions are no longer available. Existing subscriptions were wound down: the boxes still owed to each subscriber were consolidated and shipped together as one final delivery. You can still manage or cancel the subscription in your account.
STEM Box is a monthly subscription: each month a different DIY electronics project arrives, covering coding, microcomputers, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and autonomous driving.
How the plans work
Plan length. Subscriptions were sold as one month, six months or one year. The more boxes paid for upfront, the lower the cost per box.
Automatic renewal. Monthly and six-month plans renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel. The one-year plan does not renew, because it already includes every box in the series.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in the subscription dashboard, or by email. Cancelling applies to future, unpaid boxes only. The steps are in How do I cancel my subscription?
