Once built, Jay-D 2.0 is a working DJ mixer, not a model of one.
Mix music. It plays tracks from its micro SD card — a card with preloaded beats is in the box — and you mix between them with the sliders and knobs.
Add your own music. Songs go onto the SD card from a computer; the format rules and steps are in How do I import songs onto my Jay-D?.
Record your own mixes. Mixes you record on Jay-D are saved back to the card, so they appear in the song list like the preloaded tracks.
Code it. Jay-D is programmable — see What programming languages can I use with CircuitMess kits? for the beginner and advanced routes.
What is in the box: the main circuit board, acrylic casing, custom plastic knobs, slider and button caps, speakers, the micro SD card with preloaded beats, screws and spacers, and the screwdriver you assemble it with — there is no soldering in the build.
