Jay-D 2.0 needs no soldering. It is assembled with the screwdriver included in the box, using the supplied screws and spacers. The kit ships with no soldering tools and the build guide has no soldering step.

What is in the box

  • Main circuit board

  • Acrylic casing

  • Speakers

  • Micro SD card with preloaded beats

  • Custom-made plastic knobs

  • Slider caps

  • Button caps

  • Screws and spacers

  • Screwdriver

Plan on spending about an hour and a half building it.

No prior experience is required. The build guide is a step-by-step guide with more than 100 photos, and there are separate usage and coding guides for once the kit is assembled.

All CircuitMess guides are collected at circuitmess.com/blogs/resources, and the Jay-D resources are also reachable from the Jay-D 2.0 product page.

If a part is missing from the box, message us here, or email [email protected], with your order number and a photo of everything you received. A part that was missing from the box, or that arrived defective, is replaced free of charge. A part broken during the build or in use is charged, and we always quote the price before sending anything.
