CircuitMess — Frequently Asked Questions
What makes CircuitMess different from other STEM toys?
Our kits are made for learning new STEM skills. We give you the materials, the instructions and the ideas, but it’s up to you to build it and code it yourself. Once you’ve made something with your own hands, you’ve not only got a working device — you’ve picked up skills that are genuinely useful.
What age range are CircuitMess kits for?
It depends on the kit. Some are simple builds aimed at younger children, others are longer, more involved projects for teenagers and adults. Every product page carries its own recommended age, so check the page for the kit you’re considering — that is the figure we keep up to date. If you’re choosing for someone else and aren’t sure, email us at [email protected] and we’ll help you pick.
What skills will I (or my child) learn with CircuitMess?
Electronics, robotics, coding and a good deal of problem-solving. Which of those you get most of depends on the kit — some lean towards the build and the hardware, others towards writing the code that runs on it.
What kind of projects can I build with CircuitMess STEM kits?
Robots small and big, gaming consoles, self-driving cars, NASA-themed rovers, smartwatches, music kits and more. The full, current list is in our shop.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide. Shipping is free on orders over EUR 96 within the EU and over USD 99 outside the EU. Below those thresholds there is a shipping charge, and because it depends on your country and the delivery option you choose, it is worked out at checkout before you pay.
We ship from seven regional warehouses — in the EU, the US, Canada, Saudi Arabia, the UK, China and Australia — and your order goes out from whichever one is nearest to you. Orders are dispatched within 48 to 72 business hours. Transit after that is usually one to two weeks, though it varies by destination and we can’t guarantee it.
For most destinations there is nothing extra to pay on arrival. If your country isn’t served by one of our warehouses, the recipient may owe import duty set by their own government. Email us if you’re not sure how your country is served.
Do you still sell subscriptions?
New subscription sign-ups are closed — you can’t start a new one. Instead you buy whichever kit you want on its own, and there are bundles if you’d rather get several at once.
If you already have an active CircuitMess subscription, it carries on as normal and you’ll receive all the STEM boxes you subscribed to.
How can I manage my subscription?
If you have an active subscription, you can manage it at dashboard.circuitmess.com.
Where can I find additional information & learning materials?
Anatomy, build, coding and usage guides all live on Resources, under the Guides section. Our projects are open source, so schematics and code are on GitHub, and there’s a community forum too. If you can’t find what you need, email us at [email protected].
