CircuitMess Harald FAQ
What is CircuitMess Harald?
Harald is no longer sold, and this article is here for people who already own one — support and guides are unchanged. Harald is a build-it-yourself Bluetooth speaker from the Wacky Robots range, styled as a Viking robot. You assemble it, then pair it with a phone or laptop and play music through it. The kit also includes the game token that unlocks a game on the CircuitMess Bit console, which is sold separately.
What will I learn by building Harald?
How a speaker turns an electrical signal into sound, how two devices set up a Bluetooth link, and what each component on the board does. It is hands-on rather than theory: you build the speaker, then use it.
What age range is Harald suitable for?
Ages 7 and up. The build is pitched at that age group.
Do I need any prior experience to build Harald?
No. Harald is meant as a first electronics build, and step-by-step instructions are included.
How long does it take to build Harald?
About an hour.
How do I unlock the bonus Bit game with Harald?
Your Harald kit includes the game token. Connect it to a CircuitMess Bit 2.0, wait for the console to confirm on screen that it is plugged in, then press the A button. The game is added to the console menu and stays there, so nothing needs to remain connected afterwards. The Bit console is sold separately, and the token does nothing without one.
