Fractions & Decimals Curriculum FAQ

What age group is this curriculum for?

The course is written for 4th and 5th graders, and it covers fractions and decimals.

Do I need to teach the lessons to my child?

No. Fractions & Decimals in Motion is student-led, so your child can work through the story-sessions and the challenges on their own. You are welcome to sit in, but nothing in the course needs you to.

What is the "Meaning-First" approach?

Symbols come second. The sessions use storytelling and motion to build the idea behind a fraction or a decimal first, so the notation makes sense when it appears.

How many lessons are included?

Seven interactive story-sessions, led by the course instructor, Mr. Bee.

Does my access expire?

No. Access is lifetime, so your child can work at their own pace and go back over any session as often as they need.

Do I need any extra materials?

A computer or a tablet with an internet connection. Everything else is inside the digital learning platform.

How will I get my code after purchasing?

Your access arrives by email, usually within a few hours of the order, and the link in that email opens the course. If it has not turned up, check the spam and promotions folders of the address you used at checkout, then message us here, or email [email protected], with your order number and that address, and we will send it again.
