Do I need to understand how every single component works before I start building?

No prior electronics knowledge is required; each assembly step explains what you are doing and why as you build.

No, you don't. Our kits are designed so you learn as you build, and you don't need any prior electronics knowledge to start.

Each step of the assembly guide explains what you're doing and why, so by the time the kit is finished you'll understand how the components work together. The learning happens naturally, through your hands.

If you'd like to read up before you start, all our guides are in one place at https://circuitmess.com/blogs/resources - build guides, anatomy guides that explain what each component does, and coding tutorials from beginner to advanced.

The most important thing is to just start building. If a step doesn't make sense, email [email protected] and we'll walk you through it.
