A MAKERbuino that will not run properly is frustrating, and it usually comes down to one of two things.
The most common by far is a solder joint that has not quite taken, so that is worth checking first, and it is the easiest to put right. Look for joints bridged to their neighbours, and for stray solder sitting anywhere on the main board. The photo below shows what a good joint on the MAKERbuino main board looks like.
Process of loading has been interrupted
If loading was interrupted at some point, the console's internal memory can be left corrupted and it needs a hard reset. The steps, in order:
Insert the SD card.
Turn the console off.
Hold the C button down.
Turn the console on.
Release the C button.
Wait 30 seconds.
The SD card loader menu should then appear, and the console should run normally again. The same steps are shown in a short video if you would rather watch than read.
If it still will not run, message us here, or email [email protected], with a photo of both sides of the main board and a note on what the console does when you switch it on, and we will work out what is going on.
