A ByteBoi that will not power on at the end of a build is frustrating, and the most common cause is a small amount of solder bridging the silver line that runs around the edge of the board, near the power switch. That contact shorts the board, so it will not start.
Look closely at the area around the switch, in good light, and check that no solder is touching the silver line. If some is, remove it following the soldering steps in the ByteBoi build guide on our Resources page, then try the switch again.
If the line is clean and it still will not start, message us here, or email [email protected], with your order number and a clear photo of both sides of the board, and we will work out what is going on from there.
This applies to the original ByteBoi kit. ByteBoi 2.0 is a different kit and is covered separately.
