My Chatter 2.0 isn't connecting to the other unit. What should I check?Updated a day ago
If your Chatter 2.0 units are having trouble communicating, the first thing to know is that these devices do not have any manual frequency or channel selection in the settings menu, so you do not need to worry about configuring software parameters to get them to talk to each other. Additionally, unlike the original version, Chatter 2.0 does not use external screw-on antennas. Instead, the antenna is expertly integrated directly into the printed circuit board of the device, which means there are no physical parts to tighten or lose.
To get the best performance out of your encrypted wireless connection, keep in mind that LoRa technology works best when there is a clear and direct line of sight between the two devices. Physical obstacles like thick concrete walls or metal structures can significantly interfere with the signal and reduce the effective distance. For the best experience, we recommend testing your devices in an open outdoor space where you can achieve a range of up to 5 kilometers. If you are using them indoors and notice a drop in signal, try moving closer to a window or reducing the number of obstacles between the two makers.
